Ivana Omazić was born in Zagreb in 1973. After finishing School of applied arts and design in Zagreb, she received her diploma in fashion design on Istitituto Europeo di Design in Milan.
In 1996, Ivana got her first professional fashion experience working as junior design assistant for Romeo Gigli. In 1997 she was hired by Prada, where she advanced to the position of senior design assistant, working on womenswear MiuMiu line, and contributed to starting the Prada Sport line, for both menswear and womenswear.
Years 2000 to 2002, Ivana spent at Jil Sander, where she was responsible for sportswear, leather, fur, and jeans segments.
In 2002, Ivana returned to Prada as responsible for women's ready-to-wear MiuMiu line, and between years 2002 and 2005, led the designer team that created five collections a year.
In 2005 Ivana became art director at Celine, a position she held until the year 2009. At Celine, Ivana oversaw the whole designer process of ready-to-wear lines, bags, shoes, jewelry and accessories, five collections a year. She also worked on the company's brand strategy and image development.
In 2012, Ivana became the creative consultant of Stone Island, and art director of Maison Martin Margiela, where she oversaw the whole designer process from concept to the final product, styling and fashion shows and shootings for 16 In 2012. Ivana became a part of the family business Omazić, based in Croatia, and presented her brand IO Ivana Omazić in 2014. Parallel with managing her own brand, Ivana provides creative consultancy for the Italian environmental friendly fashion brand Rebello.
